I already have taken the Digital Storytelling class within the Digital Storytelling course, the evidence of which can be found at Digital Storytelling Projects, where I documented everything that I had created and thought about in Spring 2024.
This was my first time being part of this world ever, and it was such an amazing first experience, despite the struggles I had figuring out how everything works. This is technically the class I was supposed to take after taking the Intro to 3D Design and Infographics and Data Visualization classes; however, because of how my classes aligned, and how I decided to proceed with my schedule, I ended up taking the “last” class first. I wouldn’t have done it any other way, as it seems like I had a lot of freedom in that class to decide on what I wanted to do.
I will say, though, that with it being my first experience with creating and decorating any 3D object ever, I wish that I hadn’t been so ambitious in trying to create my own object, simply because I wanted to create a storybook and had an idea of how I wanted it to look. With my lack of skill, it didn’t come out exactly how I wanted it to; but I don’t really mind the way that it came out, and I’m proud of myself for being able to create something that seemed really complex to me at the time (and kind of still seems complex to me even now).
If I could go back and change anything or add anything to the area that I was working on at that time, I would probably try and contribute more to the area I was in? I question that statement because I don’t have anything specific that I would want to add to it. Since the area there already had so many things added to it before, I feel as though I wouldn’t be able to contribute much to what was already there—which is silly, since the whole point of attending those classes is to continue adding upon what is already there. But, since I have started working in this other area in the Digital Storytelling world, I feel like there is more room for me to input myself into this world and add more things within it.
